Eli C. D. Shortridge
Eli C. D. Shortridge (March 29, 1830 – February 4, 1908) was an American politician who was the third Governor of North Dakota from 1893 to 1895. Shortridge was the first governor to live in the executive mansion.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=ELI C. D. SHORTRIDGE )
==Biography==
Born Eli Charles Daniel Shortridge, he was the eighth of nine children born to Levi and Elizabeth Love Shortridge. Shortridge was born in Cabell County, West Virginia, and grew up in Monroe County, Missouri.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title= North Dakota Governor Eli C. D. Shortridge )〕 He completed his education at an academy located near Paris, Missouri. He moved to Larimore, North Dakota with his family, second wife Anna Burton and twin daughters, in 1882.
